…Do Not Waste Your Energy…
Not everything surrounds you deserves your energy. In fact there are so many things that can waste your energy, make your mood to become bad, or even ruin the rest of your day. Say for example, a man cut your way on the road. Yes, true he was wrong and could have caused an accident. But trying to get even and cutting back his way, do you really have to do that? Yes you may want to do that. Or you may feel you need to. But that will just make your day to become worse. Why do you want to waste your energy for someone who appears only for five minutes in your life?
Some people, like I was, get trapped by another common situation which also absorbs much of our energy. Sometimes we waste too much of our energy to make people like us. To get an approval. Actually, there are people who never going to like you. No matter how hard you try to please them, or do what they want you to do. or make sacrifies of yourself, they will never turn to like you. These are the possibilities of the people you could meet in your life:
- People who does not like you and will not like you
- People who does not like you and could be persuaded to like you
- People who likes you but could be persuaded not to like you
- People who likes you and will like you whatever it takes
When you meet people in the last category, it means you meet people who celebrates you. Why waste so much of your energy to work on some connections which are not meant to happen? There will be times and places that you will have divine connections. Connections that celebrate you.
It doesn’t mean that you must be choosy when making friends. Pass God’s love through to anyone. But trying so hard to fit in to people and lose all of yourself is probably too expensive.
I believe that a blessed life is started with trusting God. Trust in God that He is making things arranged in front of you. Believe that His love always covers your way. That even the situation is difficult, God always be with you and guiding your way towards His promises. That He equips you with whatever you need in order to be able to reach His promises. It could be the right situation, people, knowledge, wisdom, attitudes, character, and other things. You may feel hurt or angry when the situation does not look like what you expected. Bring all your disappointment to God. Exchange them with His great love. Keep trusting in Him. Believe that He will always guide your ways.
Be careful about what you are spending your energy on. We do not want to miss God’s promises only because we waste too much of our energy.
